Gas installations

NORTEGAS ENERGY

nortegass gas distribution network allows piped gas to reach each point of use. Your building is connected to the network through a valved gas connection. The distributing company owns the networks and the connections, so nortegas is responsible for their maintenance and repair..

INDIVIDUAL INSTALLATION

This part of the installation, which delivers the gas supply to each home in a building and brings gas to your appliances, is the responsibility of each occupant. Each homeowner is responsible for ensuring that his or her individual installation is properly maintained and undergoes the required periodic inspections.

SHARED INSTALLATION

If a building has multiple owners, this part of the installation is shared by all homeowners, so it must be located in a common area of the building. The homeowners’ association is responsible for ensuring that the installation is properly maintained and undergoes the required periodic inspections.

Interior installation

If your homeowners’ association will be installing gas with an authorised gas installer, please note that you may choose from the following types of installation:

Installation up to end-use appliances. A complete installation, ready to be used.
Installation up to window valve (designed for short-term use). This installation is recommended for cases in which the customer would like gas to be supplied to a property but the exact location of the gas appliances hasn’t been determined yet.
Installation up to meter inlet. This installation is recommended if the customer plans on using gas, but not for some time. With this type of installation, a space in the meter cabinet is set aside for a meter in case the customer should decide to activate gas supply in the future. This keeps costs at a minimum if modifications must be made in the meter cabinet when the customer does choose to activate gas services.
